Overview
6 days cultural experience Tanzania, this itinerary design will allow tourists to combine wildlife safari and cultural tourism in Tanzania. As it is a remarkable memory by learning Tanzania traditions from famous tribes such as Maasai, Datoga, and Hadzabe, and Chagga as well as exploring the famous parks such as Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara.
DAY 1: ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
On this day as you journey begins, you will be picked up by your safari driver and transferred to Lake Manyara. The journey will take approximately of two hours but you will passby at Mto wa mbu where there is a village market to learn about their agricultural activities and see the fresh food after harvesting. You will get an opportunity to taste a traditional chagga beer which called Mbege.
After your head full of knowledge about agriculture activities in Mto wa mbu, you will be driven to Lake Manyara National Park, so get you camera ready as you will be surprised and spot several wild animals and bird species. The park is also famous for having tree-climbing lion as well as large number of pink flamingos.
After a full game viewing, you will be driven to overnight at your accommodation.
DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After morning breakfast, you will be driven to Serengeti National Park. On your way you will passby through Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might spot several wild animals before reaching the entrance gate of Serengeti National Park. It will take almost four hours drive but you will have a chance to choose a break up with one or both activities like Oldupai Gorge Museum or Maasai Boma visit.
After having your lunch in a picnic area, you will be driven to your accommodation inside the park for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – FULL GAME DRIVE
On this day you will opt to wake up early so that you can have the best sightings. A morning game drive can offer you a lot as it’s the best time for predators to do hunting, so very possible to spot lion, leopard etc. in action. After morning game drive, you will return to your accommodation for the breakfast and rest a bit while waiting to continue exploring the beauty of the Serengeti National Park. The park is also famous for the wildebeest migration which occur annually.
DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER
After morning breakfast, you will start your journey while continuing with a game drive. Expect to see several animals such as wildebeest, lion, black rhino, cheetah, zebra, gazelle, leopard, elephant, African cape buffalo, spotted hyena etc.
Upon entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area entrance gate, you will be surprised with the beauty of the crater landscape as well as the surrounding nature. Ngorongoro Crater is the park with easy opportunity to spot all the big five wild animals at once.
You will have your lunch inside the park while enjoying the view of magnificent surrounding landscape.
After game drive you will be driven to overnight at your accommodation inside the park or near Karatu area.
DAY 5: NGORONGORO CRATER – LAKE EYASI
After breakfast, your safari driver will pick you up and continue exploring the Ngorongoro Crater the home of many mammal species as well as a place to spot huge number of hippos enjoying the cool water.
Thereafter the full game drive you will be transferred to Lake Eyasi for overnight.
DAY 6: LAKE EYASI – ARUSHA
As this will be your final day of your 6 days cultural experience Tanzania, you will be opting to wake up early as you will be joining the Hadzabe for the hunting activities.
Hadzabe are one of the bushman tribes in Africa their life depending on hunting. During your visitation to Hadzabe tribe you can also pay a visit to Datoga tribe, this tribe is farmers who keep animals such as sheep, goats and cows.
After you head having a full of a lifetime experience, you will be driven back to Arusha for departure or overnight.
