Day 1: ARUSHA – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After early breakfast depart to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third largest National Park for Game Drives. Tarangire National Park offers are large elephant population and the majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the Park. Spend the day inside the National Park with Game Drives, lunch will be served at Tarangire Safari Lodge .on the evening you will drive to the lodge/camp outside the park for dinner and overnight
Day 2: MTO WA MBU VILLAGE
Drive after breakfast to Manyara village, the little village called Mto wa mbu lies at Manyara the village is famous for its crops of rice and the distinctive red bananas that Tanzania is known for. You will be accompanied by a local guide and have the opportunity to interact with local farmers, as well as artisans, craftsmen, and painters. A sampling of the local banana beer adds a unique taste of local flavor. Lunch will be served in the village with fresh food from their farms. In the evening drive to the Karatu region for dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp
Day 3: LAKE EYASI
After morning breakfast you’ll drive to the hadzabe encampment where you will learn about traditions and daily life and have the opportunity to hunt with the men, practice your bow and arrow skills, and walk with the women as they gather wild plants for food, and purchase craft made by the families. After a picnic lunch, you’ll visit the Datoga tribe who live in the same environment, and who practice the ancient art of the blacksmith. Watch as the men smelt metals and form them into arrowheads, utensils, and jewelry using the age-old technique, and visit their home where the women will talk about their way of life living. In the evening you’ll drive back to Lodge/Camp
Day 4: NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
After breakfast depart with a picnic lunch for a full day visit to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the 100-square-mile crater and view the game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. Local wildlife includes the black manned lion, the highly endangered black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippo, hyena, and many more. The bird Life is also prolific with flocks of flamingos on the soda lake as well as other species of water birds. You will have your lunch at a hippo pool picnic area while enjoying the atmosphere and surrounding nature of the Ngorongoro landscape. Late evening drive to the lodge/camp in the rim of Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight
DAY 5&6: NGORONGORO – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast drive to Serengeti national park stopover at Maasai village expect to be greeted in the traditional manner: plenty of singing and dancing, with participation, very much encouraged! There is then the opportunity to learn about some of the customary practices such as fire-making and beadwork. Will proceed to Serengeti national park en route game drive and arrive at the lodge/camp for lunch. 2Fully day of Explore Serengeti, a chance to enjoy the varied landscapes of the Central Serengeti. The Seronera River weaves its way through this area, providing water for all species of wildlife. You will also see the distinctive rocky outcrops, the famous kopjes which characterize the Serengeti landscape. Lunch will be an unforgettable experience, enjoyed in the middle of the bush. Everything here varies with the seasons, but in May, November, and December migrating herds join the already rich population of resident animals that live here year-round. (In the rainy season, the landscape turns black with hundreds of thousands of Wildebeest – a simply incredible sight.
DAY 7: ARUSHA – DEPART
After breakfast check out from the lodge/camp, and you’ll finish your explore safari experience with en-route game drives back to Arusha for overnight or transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for a homeward flight.
